Understanding Legal Capacity, Financial Abuse & Mandated Reporting

This presentation is intended to educate estate planners on the nuances of legal capacity, the role of undue influence, recognizing and preventing elder and dependent adult financial abuse and the requirements and procedures relating to mandated reporting of elder and dependent adult abuse.


Mark is a licensed attorney by the State Bar of California since 1996, practicing Estate Planning, Probate Litigation and Charitable Foundation Planning.  He received his B.A. from University of Georgia and his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University in Georgia.  Mark is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC); a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization; a former Adjunct Professor at Chapman Law School; and named by Worth Magazine as one of the Top 100 Estate Planning Attorney’s in the Country.
